By using Spex, you agree to use the bot responsibly and follow Discord's Terms of Service.
The current server owner must explicitly accept activation in the dashboard or with the activation button. Until acceptance, normal bot features and server dashboard settings are paused. A server whose current owner has Spex Premium is exempt while that premium status is active.
For new installations, Spex creates one private activation channel named spex at the top of the server and attempts to mention the owner once. Server administrators may also see this channel. Existing servers initiate this channel from the dashboard; no bulk notifications are sent.
Acceptance permits Spex to make that channel public and read-only, replace the activation message with a clearly labelled Spex advertisement, and include spex.leanza.nl and a bot invitation link. There are no recurring promotional messages or repeated owner pings.
You may decline by not activating and removing Spex. A change of server ownership requires a new owner's acceptance unless that owner has premium. We store the server ID, accepting owner ID, acceptance time, terms version, channel/message IDs and one-time notification state. Premium changes are checked when Spex is used.
